Download once and you're set. On launch, the game checks on its own whether a newer version is available. If so, a bar appears in the bottom left; clicking “Update now” fetches only the changed files, not the whole package, and the game runs on the new version right away. You can also check by hand anytime via the menu “Game → Check for updates” (Ctrl+U, Cmd+U on Mac). You only need a file from here again if you're setting the game up on another computer.
Compare the checksum: on Linux and macOS with shasum -a 256 FILE, on Windows with certutil -hashfile FILE SHA256. If it doesn't match, download again and write to us.
