Packages and Prices in Epstein Island Game: What You Pay For

As of Sep 16, 20267 min read

You can try this island survival game in the browser for free. If you want to own it, you pay once, and no further charge follows. Three packages are on offer, and which one is worth it comes down to whether you plan to play alone or with up to ten others.

Here are the prices, the path through checkout, what the license key can do, how buying without an account works, and why the checkbox before payment ends your right of withdrawal.

Packages and prices: three lines, one price each

All amounts are final prices in euros, one-time, VAT included. The bundle comes pre-selected on the purchase page, since it includes both halves and costs less than two separate purchases.

The split between the two individual packages is clean: Story Mode sits in Singleplayer, the co-op lobby sits in Multiplayer. Buy only the multiplayer package and you get the island together with others, but no story.

  • Singleplayer: 39.99 euros, the island solo, with Story Mode
  • Multiplayer: 19.99 euros, online co-op lobby, up to ten people, no Story Mode
  • Singleplayer and Multiplayer together: 49.99 euros, one key for both
  • The bundle saves 9.99 euros compared to buying separately

Add the other package later without paying twice

You do not have to decide right away. Own Singleplayer and want to bring friends onto the island later, add Multiplayer for 19.99 euros. It works the same way in reverse.

The store watches out for you here. If a package already sits on your account, its buy button is locked, and the reason is spelled out right next to it. Own Singleplayer and click the bundle anyway, and you get a note that buying Multiplayer alone is cheaper. Once both halves are unlocked, the page tells you up top that another purchase would get you nothing.

TipTry the game in your browser first, without an account and without paying. Buying only after that costs you nothing but half an hour.

The path through checkout

One click on the buy button opens a window, and payment sits right there immediately. No second page, no extra step. Up top you see the name, scope, platforms, and total price; below that sits the fine print, including the withdrawal notice, terms, privacy policy, and legal notice.

Payment runs through Stripe, embedded right on the page. Which payment methods show up is not decided by marketing, it is decided by the payment account: the page only lists what is actually enabled right now, instead of promising something that then turns out to be missing. You enter your card details directly with Stripe.

You can buy with an account or as a guest. As a guest you just enter an email address, and that is where the key and invoice go. In the same window you can sign in or register instead, and wherever Steam login is set up, a Steam button appears there too. Sign in later with the same address and the purchase attaches itself to your account.

What the license key can do and what it cannot

After payment, the key arrives by email right away, along with the invoice. Your account keeps the keys, orders, and invoices together, plus buttons for each system.

Legally you get a simple, non-transferable, unlimited right to use the game for personal purposes, on every device you use yourself. Backup copies are allowed. Not allowed: passing on the game or the key, uploading the files, and multiple people using one key at the same time.

Important for the current state: redeeming the key in-game is still in development. Until then it sits in your account. The downloads themselves are free to access, without an account and without signing in, and the key unlocks things inside the game later. What that means for the prototype is covered in Development Status.

The checkbox before payment and your right of withdrawal

Before the pay button sits a checkbox with an explanation: you are expressly requesting that fulfillment begin before the withdrawal period ends, and acknowledging that receiving the key ends your right of withdrawal. Without that box checked, nothing starts, even instant payment methods stay locked.

Without that consent, the normal rule applies: fourteen days from the contract date, no reason required, by informal notice or with the sample form on the withdrawal page. Check the box and pay, and the right expires the moment you get unlocked access, exactly as the law provides for digital content.

If you want to keep the full period, do not start the purchase, write an email first instead. Delivery can then be arranged for after the period ends. Your rights over defects stay untouched either way: if the game does not work as described on the page, that applies regardless of withdrawal.

What is not included in the price

There is no subscription and no recurring charge, no shipping, and no promise for later. That is not a marketing line, it is stated right on the purchase page: what is promised is the current state, not a game that does not exist yet.

In-game items are technically set up and would run through the same checkout, but the list is empty. As long as nothing sits there, nobody can sell you anything that gives an advantage in the game. There are no pay-to-progress purchases.

Also worth knowing: there is no guarantee that a specific older build stays available for download forever. What gets provided is always the current build for the supported systems. Keep your own copy of your file and your key.
